Joseph V. Bongiorno, Esq. of Downingtown, Pa., passed away on July 28, 2013. He was 47.
Born in Erie, Pa., Joseph was both an attorney and musician. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War, where he was able to share his talent as a drummer playing in the 389th U.S. Army Band in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. In May, 2012, he opened the Law Offices of Joseph V. Bongiorno in Exton, Pa.
A devoted husband and father, Joseph enjoyed fishing with his boys. He loved the ocean which he called his home. He also enjoyed Iaido. Joe loved to cook and try new recipes; he was known for making his famous ribs on his smoker.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly A. (nee Balsis)Bongiorno; his sons, Nicholas M. and Andrew L.Bongiorno; his mother, Marcyanna (nee Dembinski)Bongiorno; his sister, Rose Ronzitti; three nephews and one niece. He was pre-deceased by his father Louis Bongiorno.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, Rt. 100 & Fellowship Rd., Chester Springs, PA 19425 where friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Friends may also call Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 East Lincoln Hwy. (Ship Rd. & Rt.30), Exton, PA 19341. Interment Private.
