Karen L. Goodenow Eller Hannah, 67 of Erie, died Monday December 3, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Erie on November 23, 1945 to the late Harold H. and Doris J. (Schaefer) Goodenow. After she graduated from Girard's Rice Avenue High School in 1963 she attended the Bryant and Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. Karen worked at Kaiser Aluminum as a personal secretary. Later she dedicated her life as a mother and homemaker to raise her young family. Karen was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in McKean. She collected carousels and enjoyed watching her son Jake race at Eriez Speedway and at Stateline Speedway. She will be deeply missed by her four daughters, Terri L. Eller Overbay and her husband Michael of Erie, Nicole L. Eller Vommaro and her husband Michael of Georgetown, Texas, Shelley M. Hannah Umphress and her husband Ronald of North East and Emily R. Hannah Vommaro and her husband Mark of Erie; her two sons, Matthew D. Eller and his wife Deborah; Jake D. Eller and his wife Georgie of McKean; her brother, Ken Goodenow and his wife Jennifer of Hutto, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 3968 Hershey Road, McKean. Services will be held there on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Freebourn officiating. Burial will be in the Dunn Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church or to the , Erie Unit, 2115 W. 38th St. Erie, PA 16508.
