Lloyd C. Millet, age 89, of Wesleyville, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home. He was born in Union City, Pa. on April 22, 1923, son of the late Ralph and Maude Fuller Millet. He was a lifelong resident of the Erie area. Lloyd was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and had served as a trustee and on the administrative board and sang with the choir. He was the owner of Millet Collision Service for 18 years until his retirement in 1988. Prior to that, he worked with Allstate Insurance Co. for 18 years as a Casualty Claims Supervisor, and with the former Al Appel Dodge & Plymouth Motors as the Service Manager. Lloyd was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII in the Pacific Theater aboard the L.S.M. #3. Lloyd had also played in various western music bands in the 1950's and 1960's. He was an avid horseshoe player and fisherman, and enjoyed playing bingo. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Millet, and one brother, Donald Ripley. Survivors include four sons, Rev. Robert Millet (Carole) of Texas, David Millet of Erie, and Charles Millet (Lorelei) and Alan Millet (Rhonda), all of Wesleyville; three daughters, Pamela Rodland (Perry) of Harborcreek, Carolyn McPherson (Lee) and Kathleen Stoddard (Eric) all of California; a long-time friend, Marion Browning of Erie; 14 grandchildren, three step- grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev.
