Lucy Ann Beyer Stewart, 91, born May 11, 1921 in Ambridge, Pa. entered into eternal joy with her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 15, 2012. She was surrounded by her daughters, Dr. Gladys Stewart, Gay Curry; her son, Sam; and her beloved friend, Beatrice. Lucy was a graduate of Clarion University in 1943. She was preceded in death by her son, Lester Stewart and her husband of 60 years, the Rev. L. Gene Stewart. In addition to her children, she is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. While raising her family she served along with Gene in nine churches as part of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. For all who have known Lucy personally she will be remembered for her faith, kindness, sense of humor, and immeasurable grace. Friends are invited to attend services at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Sterrettania Cemetery.
