Maria V. Andino, age 77, 614 E.8th St., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on January 19, 1935, daughter of the late Cesario Andino and Natividad Valentin. She was a resident of Erie for 29 years, relocating to Erie from Puerto Rico. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Iglesia Pentecostal Camino de Santidad who loved working for the Lord and helping people. Maria enjoyed cooking, sewing, tending to her rose garden and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Angel L. Valentin, Cesar R. Guzman, Enrique Guzman and Edwin Guzman; six daughters, Maria de los Angeles Valentin, Virgen Valentin, Rosa M. Guzman, Carmen A. Guzman, Francisca Guzman and Elizabeth Guzman (Miguel); five brothers, Confesor, Onorio, Juan, Cesar and Adalberto Andino; two sisters, Gloria and Olga Andino; 37 grandchildren; more than 50 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday (today), 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at house of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 E. 21st St., and may attend a homegoing service at the church on Wednesday, 10:00 p.m. Interment in Erie Cemetery.
