Marilyn Appleton Obituary
She was born in Erie, on December 31, 1938, a daughter of the late Clarence Irish and Ruth Smith Irish-Miller
Marilyn loved her family and enjoyed bingo and gambling at the West Springfield VFW.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Appleton in 1992; her brothers, William, Donald, and Robert; a brother in infancy; her granddaughter, Marilyn Jean Uhler; and her stepfather, Herbert Miller.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Goodwill and her husband Michael and Lora Shuster and her husband George, all of Conneaut, Ohio; and her brothers, William Irish and his wife Sylvia and Gary Irish, all of Erie and Jack Miller of Edinboro. She is further survived by her four grandchildren, Lora Goodwill (Mel), Kari Crowell (Fred), Amanda Shuster (Cory) and Cody Shuster (Jennifer); seven great-grandchildren, Michaela, Matthew, Rylee, Braxon, Frederick, Mikenah and Zayden; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial is to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
