Michael A. Pelkowski

Michael A. Pelkowski Michael A. Pelkowski, 46, of Clermont, Fla., formerly of Erie, passed away Sunday, September 24th, 2009, at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Michael was born on, February 4, 1963, son of Virginia Gott Pelkowski and the late Thomas J. Pelkowski. Michael attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Mercyhurst Preparatory School, McDowell High School, and the University of Dayton. He relocated to Florida in 1986 and worked in several hospitality venues. Michael was very active in fundraising for the needy and along with his partner, Jeffrey, was awarded the spirit award for outstanding charity work in supporting “Christmas of Sharing” in Orlando. Michael is survived by his partner, Jeffrey Gaul, mother, Virginia Pelkowski, brother, Thomas, of Yulee, Fla., sister, Christine Chrostowski (Gary), of Erie, and brother, Mark Pelkowski, of Erie. He is further survived by nieces, Ashley Pelkowski of Fla., Carly, and Lindsey Chrostowski of Erie, and Jessica Benoit (Pelkowski), and nephew, Thomas L. Pelkowski, of Florida. He also leaves behind many family members and friends. Services are Friday, October 2, in Tavares, Fla. A Memorial Service will be held in Erie at a later date.
