Patricia M. McClenathan Keim, 93, of Erie, Pa., passed into eternal peace on Monday, December 24, 2012. She was born into this life on December 20, 1919, in Erie, Pa., to Roy and Ethel Quinn McClenathan. After graduating from Villa Maria Academy, she married the love of her life, James W. Keim, Sr. and they began their family. Her loving family includes James W. Keim, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Erie, Judith Arrowsmith and her husband Robert, Joan Kiehl and her husband James, all of Venice Fla., dearly departed youngest son Jeffrey and his wife Susan Black, daughter-in-law Helen Schneider, along with 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pat helped raise her brother John McClenathan's children John, Patty, Dan and Mary. She was like a second Mom to them. All of her family, in-laws and friends were blessed by her grace, beauty and presence in their lives for so many wonderful years. Pat was active in the St. Vincent Women's Auxiliary, Cathedral Prep PTA and St. Andrew's PTA. She retired from the Erie County Courthouse Register of Wills department and worked for Judges Carney and McClelland. She loved golf and was an avid bridge and gin player. A woman of deep faith, Pat was especially known for her gracious personality, classic style of dress and unfailing devotion to her family and friends. Whenever there was a birthday, holiday, anniversary, birth or any other special occasion, you could be sure that the first handwritten note would arrive from her. Her legacy of living her life with class, dignity and grace is an example to all who knew her and will live on through her family and friends. Pat was preceded to the next life by her parents, husband James, son Jeffrey, brothers Richard and John McClenathan, along with cherished relatives, in-laws and friends. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St., Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., in St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James W. and Jeffrey A.
