Paul E. Niemynski, age 77, of Erie, passed away Tuesday December 25, 2012, at UPMC Hamot. Born in Mill Village on November 10, 1935, he was a son of the late Frank and Minie (Olson) Niemynski. He was a graduate of Tech High School, where he was a wrestler. Paul was a tool and die maker, first at Parker White Metal, and later at STERIS for fifteen years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Lodge 1968, VFW Post 470, and a life member of the Zukor Club. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and especially trips to Arizona and New Mexico to visit family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Thomas Niemynski, and a sister, Nellie Aldrich. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Eleanor (Opalenik) Niemynski; a son, David Niemynski, wife Heidi Heberle, of Girardville, Pa.; a daughter, Christine Wasosky, of Elephantbutte, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Aaron and Ben Niemysnki; and several nieces and nephews.
