Paul E. Wadding, Jr., age 88, of Erie, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at UPMC Hamot, following a brief illness. He was born in Brookville, Pa., on November 12, 1925, the son of the late Paul and Nora Mogle Wadding, Sr. Paul was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Merchant Marines. He retired from General Electric Company as an inspector. Paul was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Wadding; two grandsons, Elijah Deitrick and Zachary Wadding; one great-granddaughter, Shy-Tay Williams; and one brother, Samuel Wadding.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Verla Renshaw Wadding; one daughter, Debbie A. Hodges; three sons, Edward W. Wadding (Gail), Pete Wadding (Dina), Dave Wadding (Jean); three sisters, Edna Wadding, Betty Sterrett, Roberta Gorman (Don); one brother, Byron "Tim"Wadding (Joanne); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev.
