Ronald C. Decker Obituary
Ronald C. Decker, Lt. Col. (USAF Ret.), 77, passed away December 28, 2018, at his home in Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Erie, Pa., August 14, 1941, son of the late Joseph V. and Marie (Altman) Decker.

He was also predeceased by his brother, Thomas J. Decker.

After graduating from Cathedral Prep and Gannon University, he served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, including service in Vietnam. For the following twenty years, he was program manager at Universal Technologies and pursued interests in woodworking, Apple computers, blacksmithing, amateur radio and preserving the legacy of the Engineer's Club of Dayton.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy S. Marsh Decker, and children, Jennifer (Erle) Haunn, Lisa (Tim) Hawkins, both of Ohio, and Zachary (Sarah) Decker of Grayslake, Ill., as well as six grandchildren. Other survivors include his siblings, Anna Marie DuShole, Kathleen Reichert, David J. Decker, Rita Macomber, and Mark Decker, all of Erie County, Jean Horn of Granville, Ohio, and Mary Danks of Lexington, Va.

Funeral services were conducted in Dayton at St. Helen's RC Church, through Tobias Funeral Home.
