Ronald James Angelotti, age 74, of Aurora/ Naperville, Ill. and formerly of Erie passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 6, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 22, 1938 in Erie the son of the late Edward and Katheryn Warnoff Angelotti. Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Cathedral Prep and a 1962 graduate of Gannon University. He proudly served as a First Lt. in the Army's 69th Armored Regiment, "fighting the cold war" as he said. He started his career with Atlantic Refining Co. in Erie and retired having spent 27 years with Chrysler Realty as their Midwest Real Estate Manager in Chicago. Ron enjoyed the relationships developed as a member, chapter president, and chairman on the national board of directors for the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE). Ron was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville and was a member of the American Legion. Active throughout life and retirement, he was an avid golfer. He will be remembered and missed by all that met him for his stories and as being one of the truly "good guys" in life. Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Brahosky Angelotti, whom he married on September 11, 1965; a son, James Angelotti of Naperville, Ill. and a daughter, Julie Standish and her husband Robert of Carmel, Ind. His three grandchildren whom he adored, Katie, Sara, and Allison along with three sisters; Carol Vona and her husband Frank, Joan Heubel and her husband Dave, and Mary Lynn Angelotti, all of Erie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St., Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Saturday at 9:30 a followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hesed House, a homeless shelter where Ron volunteered for 25 years, 659 South River St., Aurora, IL 60506.
