Ruth Jean Faycheck Lewis-Lowe, age 80, formerly of Erie, residing in Kissimmee, Fla. for the past 22 years, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012. She was born in Erie on February 11, 1932, daughter of the late Gerald and Violet Lewis. Ruth had worked in various nursing homes in Erie as an LPN. In Kissimmee, Fla. she enjoyed volunteering with hospice. She loved to travel, watch NASCAR and go shopping. Ruth is lovingly survived by three children, Michael Faycheck of Utica, N.Y., Cathy Truden (Frank) of Harborcreek and Laurie Lewis of Erie; one sister, Katherine Faycheck (Edward) of Bryans Road, Md.; one grandson, Shawn Bisbee (fiance' Brenda) and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexa, Paige and Caiden Bisbee. She is also known as an adopted mother to Betsy Stora and Jeannie Pamula and treasured by the many children she babysat over the years. Ruth also leaves behind a very special and loving friend, Robert "Toby" Tobin. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Lowe and Emmett Faycheck, Jr.; one granddaughter, Tara Bisbee; one sister, Edna Frampton; and one brother, Jerry "David" Lewis. Friends will be received at Lake Pointe Community Church, 4814 Iroquois Avenue, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Ashely Shook. Private interment will be held.
