Scott Joseph Buterbaugh, 62, formerly of Greene Township, was born July 16, 1956. He passed away unexpectedly from an aneurysm at St. Vincent Hospital, Thursday, August 9. He was preceded In death by his parents Lila (Hart) and Joe Buterbaugh and sister, Sally Buterbaugh.

Scott enjoyed cooking, baking, music - especially playing piano, wood carving, genealogy, and most of all researching and learning anything new.

After leaving Wattsburg High School, Scott joined the Navy where he served on the USS Spruance DD963. After his service he moved to Arizona where he worked for a printing company for several years. After moving back to Erie in the early '90's he cooked at several restaurants around town. Most recently he was working in security at Roberts Trucking and Logistics.

His most recent passion was the Wesleyville Area Museum of Armed Forces Small Boats (WAM) where he was on the founding Board of Directors. He was volunteering his time and talents to make this project become a reality.

Scott is survived by sisters Susan Hershelman, and her husband, Tom and Shelly Say, and her husband, Todd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
