Shelby A. Peters Parnell, age 36, of Erie, passed away at her home following a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 21, 2013. She was born in Erie on May 27, 1976. Shelby was a 1994 graduate of Central High School and a 2000 graduate of Penn State University. She was a software developer with Virtual Officeware based in Pittsburgh. Shelby enjoyed being a homemaker and her greatest treasure was time with her children. Shelby is lovingly survived by her husband, Ronald J. Parnell; her two precious children, Jack and Finley and a step-daughter, Cassie; her parents, Diane Peters and William Peters and Shelby's step mother, Connie; her brother and best friend, Matthew Peters, who was her bone marrow transplant donor and his wife, Amber; a close cousin, Amy Kramer (Brandon); her grandmothers, Marie Peters and Pearl Martin; one step brother; several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nephews and one niece and one on the way. She was preceded in death by an uncle, David Peters and her grandfathers, William Peters and Joseph Martin.
