Shirley A. Gaines, 59, passed away Tuesday, February 5th, after a long battle with leukemia. She was born April 24, 1953, in Union City, to her parents Helen Turner and Walter Borsa. She was a manager at McDonald's for 16 years, loved reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, collecting antiques, seeing Harry Potter movies with her friends, swimming and spending time at the farm. She is survived by sons Justin, 40 and Brian, 32, grandchildren Madelyn, 11 and Jackson, 10 months. She is further survived by brothers, Walter Borsa and Bill Turner, sisters, Judith Beran, Tina Turner and Garnette Hollock, also nieces, Jennifer Borsa, Lynzi Hornick, Christie Beran, Lorie Lexer, Bonnie May, and Tracy May, nephew, BJ Borsa. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and her brother. Since her illness, she has resided at the farm with Wally and Joan and Jennifer. The family would like to give special thanks to everyone who loved, supported, and cared for Shirley during this difficult time. Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 9, 2012, from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at 5 p.m. at the Morgan-Pandolph Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Union City.
