Teddy H. Szall, 86, of Union City, died on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Systems. He was born in Buffington, Pa. on July 21, 1926, a son of the late Nick and Gizella Cieszynski Szall. Teddy was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Infantry in the South Pacific. He worked as a farmer, truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Union City; the Polish National Alliance; the American Legion Post #381, Cambridge Springs and VFW Post #264 in Corry. Teddy was very independent all of his life and enjoyed family gatherings, talking with people and riding in his '77 Monte Carlo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Sobnoski Szall; his sister, Julia Brown, and brothers Frank, Stanley, and Chester Szall; two step-brothers, Anthony, Paul and Mike Shupenko; a nephew. James Szall and a very special friend, Marian Hiltaabidel. Teddy is survived by several nieces and nephews including Terry Szall, Ted Szall, Judy Dinsmore, Kasia Ferry, Arden Brown, Tom Brown, John Brown, Sally Rensel, Helen Krebs, Jane Porter and Jean Greggs. Friends may call at the C. S. Warthman Funeral Home, 69 N. Main. St., Union City, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 9 Third Ave., Union City, PA with Father F. Thomas Suppa officiating. Burial will be at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Union City, Pa.
