Thomas R. Jones, age 62, of Erie passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Sheffield, Pa. on January 10, 1951. Tom was a graduate of Cathedral Prep, Class of 1969, where he was a state champion wrestler. He had served in the U.S. Army and was then employed as an iron worker in construction with Local #3. Tom was a champion arm wrestler with the Lower Eastside Federation, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bodybuilding, riding motorcycles, and time with his family. He was always known for putting others before himself. Tom is survived by his mother, Mary J. Hoffman; three sons, Jeremy Allen Jones (Cassie), Jeremy Anthony Jones and Thomas Vincent Jones; three stepchildren, Robbie, Joey and Michael Szuchon; three brothers, Richard Pilewski (Connie), Ronald Jones (Helen) and Kenneth Jones; two sisters, Nancy Dinges (Fred) and Patricia Kennedy (Daniel); seven grandchildren, Madison, Lindsay, Jeremy, Jr., Monica, Darren, Kaylah and Mylie; one great-grandson, Teghan; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Jones and his stepfather, Paul "Dutchie" Hoffman. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev.
