Timothy Julius Glover Obituary
"Tim" "Skinny" "Puss" "Daddy" "Pappa"

Timothy Julius Glover, 76, formerly of Wesleyville, Pa., passed away in the presence of his loving children at 1:27 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2018. He was born in Erie, Pa., on Monday, December 29, 1941 to Agnes Elizabeth and Joseph Ethard Glover.

Tim was a thin child, earning him the name Skinny. Skinny loved playing with his brothers and friends around their neighborhood on Hilborn Avenue in Millcreek. Tim met Patricia Jean, the love of his life, at Kresge's Department Store lunch counter on State and they were married on December 21, 1968. Tim and Pat wanted to have a home in the country, so they moved out to Summit Township on 97 and Robison. In 1996 they moved to Wesleyville.

In his younger years, Tim worked many jobs but most loved working at Marx Toys and Bucyrus Erie, where his sense of humor backfired on him and earned him the nickname Puss (face). Tim also worked at construction and painting. Tim and Pat also loved going out drinking and disco dancing with Pat wearing her Farrah Fawcett wig and Tim sporting his Fu Manchu moustache and a fluffy jet black head of hair at Country Tavern and French Quarters in Summit Township. Tim's children called him Daddy and Pappa, and he always had time for helping study spelling words, snow-day Shmoo plays, Smash-up Derby, Monitor lizard trapping, hide and seek, hamster hunts or anything else. His kids loved him. Tim also loved his brothers and sisters Peggy, Elton, Ruthie, Edith and Bobby, who have passed, and Daniel, Patrick and Sharon who are with us now.

In his later years, Tim and his wife Pat enjoyed long walks, reading, going out to eat to Betty's Diner (now Kim's) in Waterford, Pa. and Coney Island Lunch on Buffalo Road with their children and just enjoying their lives together. Pappa also loved watching DVD movies, beer and food at Plummer's Tavern and spending time with The Beans.

For the last four years, since just before Pat's passing, Tim lived at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Fairview, where he was cared for and loved by the staff.

Tim will always be loved and missed for his hardy laugh, warm hugs and wonderful smile by his children, grandchildren and his grandkitties. We remember Pappa as being tender, generous and loving.

Friends and family are invited to call at Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road, on Saturday, September 8th, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. with his Remembrance Service at 4 p.m. conducted by Rev. Richard McCarty.

Pappa is back together with Mama and Grandma Glover and we hope we will be able to join them someday.
