1930 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Valentino Joseph Uboldi, age 87, of Erie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center on Thursday, September 13, 2018, following a brief illness. He was born in New Galilee, Pa., on December 31, 1930, son of the late Cosmo and Vittoria (Cairioli) Uboldi.

Val was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School. He was employed as an insurance manager by Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. for 28 years prior to his retirement. Val was a long-time member of St. James Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Siebenbuerger Club and the former East Erie Turners Club. Val was a golf enthusiast, enjoyed travel and working on projects around his home. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his beloved family. He was a man of quiet strength and a gentleman to all. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Santino Uboldi and one sister, Mary Paswell.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Erma T. (Chiodo) Uboldi; five daughters: Valerie Sieberkrob (Tom), Veronica Osterberg, Vanessa Audet (Jeff), Vittoria and Valvet Uboldi all of Erie; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.), on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Val will be laid to rest privately at Trinity Cemetery. As per Val's wishes, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the , 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505 or to the Boys and Girls Club of Erie, Inc., 1515 E. Lake Road, Erie, PA 16511.
