Virginia L. Albert Obituary
Virginia L. DeDionisio Gannoe Albert, age 93, of Erie, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

She was born on April 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Antimo and Michelina Martino DeDionisio.

Virginia always put her family above all else; they were her pride and joy. She was an extremely generous and giving person, especially towards those less fortunate. Virginia enjoyed working at the family businesses, Taggarts Shop For Men and Vitco Corporation. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and a lifelong supporter of the Carmelite Sisters in Erie, Pa. Virginia had a green thumb; she loved her garden. She took great pride in her home, it was her palace, always decorated, and full of antiques. Up until this year, she was still going strong, always up for an adventure, and full of life and love. She will be greatly missed.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Gordon L. Gannoe, her husband of ten years, Edward R. Albert, her son-in-law, Thomas C. Vicary, her brothers, Eugene, Joseph, and Andrew DeDionisio, and her sisters, Catherine Benacci, Victorine Frazzini, Nancy Battaglia, and Rose Meister Nims.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Vicary and Suzanne Morgan (Stephen), her son, Scott Gannoe (Rita), her grandchildren, Christopher Vicary, Douglas Vicary, Leslie Vicary Marsden (Jeffrey), James Vicary (Victoria), Stephen Morgan (Jennifer), Shawn Morgan, Gregory Morgan (Jennifer), Brian Morgan (Nikole), Justin Gannoe (Kolby), Brittany Gannoe Molnar (Jonathan), and Deja Holland, sixteen great-grandchildren and one to be born, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and Christine Huntley (Jim).

Friends may call on Friday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16502, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., and are invited to the funeral service there on Saturday at 10 a.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
