Walter A. Fisher, 85, of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 5, 2012 at 5:45 a.m. at the UPMC-Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was born December 20, 1926 in Butler County, Pennsylvania to the late Walter E. Fisher and Sylvia Clifford Fisher. Mr. Fisher served as a Machinist in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired in 1982 from the Atlantic Richfield Company in Erie, Pa., where he worked as a driver and dispatcher. Mr. Fisher attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. Mr. Fisher is survived by two sons, Melvin Fisher of Arcadia, Fla. and Walter Fisher of Erie, Pa.; one granddaughter, Tracey Hunsaker and her husband, Bruce of Arizona; four great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Joseph A. Youkers of Butler, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Wanda McKinnis of Butler, Pa.; two nieces; and four nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Fisher whom he married on October 3, 1946 and who passed away on July 8, 2010. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
