Joan B. Haskin, age 72, of Albion passed away at her home on Monday April 9, 2012. She was born on April 15, 1939 in Turtle Creek, PA to the late Harold and Lillian (Browning) Chilcot. Joan enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, plastic canvas crafting, going to bingo, walking on the beach, talking on the CB radio, and socializing whether it be at home or out to dinner. In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mae Painter; a daughter-in-law, Karen Lee Haskin; and a stepsister, Phyllis Bates. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Harry Haskin, whom she married on June 1, 1956 in Turtle Creek, Pa. She also leaves behind her two sons, Harry Haskin of Columbia City, Ind., and Erle Haskin and his companion Daniel Hawley of Erie; a brother Clifford Chilcot and his wife Mona of North East; two grandchildren, David and Jason; and one great grandchild Devon. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard, PA.
