Harold Wasson passed away Wednesday morning, April 11, 2012 at his home at the age of 89. Born in Erie on September 20 1922, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lutie Pierce Wasson. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and mostly enjoyed his family. He was a 1942 graduate of East High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was a cabinet maker and finish carpenter until his retirement. Harold enjoyed bowling, woodworking and working in the yard. His hedges were always perfectly trimmed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gerald. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Marion Suttles Wasson; his daughter, Candie Knepper (Rob) of Harborcreek; his son, Bob Wasson (Karen) of Wattsburg; his sister, Eleanor Wells of Ohio; four grandchildren, Heather Alfieri, Dr. Robert Knepper of Albuquerque, N.M., Eric Wasson (Sarah) and Corey Wasson; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Maddie and Kami Alfieri and Kayden Wasson; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3308 South St., Wesleyville, PA 16510 or the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 135 East 38th St., Erie, PA 16504.
