Gary G. Tomporowski, 56, of Wesleyville, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born in Erie on September 16, 1955, a son of the late Henry A. and Helena Spinelli Tomporowski. Gary had been a dispatcher with Time-Warner Cable and had played Latin percussion with various bands for more than 35 years. He is survived by two sons, Gary "Kyle" Tomporowski of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Derek M. Tomporowski of Erie; a daughter, Jackie Wilson and her husband Austin of Erie; two granddaughters, Jayla and Mahayla; a brother, Henry James Tomporowski and his wife Renee of Erie; a sister, Judy Fortin and her husband Richard of Wesleyville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, LLP, Pine Ave. Branch, 845 E. 38th St. and attend a prayer service there Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
