Thomas J. Gannon, Jr. age 98, of Erie, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on August 28, 1913 a son of the late Thomas and Ellen Mullen Gannon. He was a retired US Postal worker and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Eisenman Gannon in 1987, a sister, and several brothers. He is survived by a daughter, Ellen Boyd of Erie and two sons, Charles Gannon and John Gannon and his wife Laura all of Erie, eleven grandchildren, Kerry, Katy, John Michael and Emily Nagorski, Sean, Amber, Jason, Michelle, Thomas III, Daniel and Jacqueline Gannon, a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call on Monday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, PA 16502 from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to a service there on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with full military honors.
