James B. Guth, age 90, of Fairview, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Clarion, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Schwabenbauer) Guth. James served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as an inspector at Lord Corporation until his retirement in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, sports, hunting and fishing. He was a life member of the East Erie Turners. James was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Janet (Bossart) Guth and a son James Guth in 1965. He is survived by a daughter Suzanne Meyer (Dean Momeyer) of Erie, a son William Guth, (Linda) of Columbus, Ohio, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brian Guth (Melisa) and their daughter Erin, Matthew Guth (Miranda) and their son Max, Michael Meyer (Lisa) and their children Kayly, Daniel, Nathan and Zachary, Aimee Seggerson (Michael) and their children Sadie and Nolan, and Geoffrey Meyer.
