Raymond R. Pounds, 57, of West Springfield, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at the Madison Wisconsin VAMC following heart complications. He was born November 5, 1954 in Baltimore Md., the son of the late Lucille Pounds. Ray moved to Erie as a young man with his family and later graduated from McDowell High School in 1972. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was later deployed to Europe where he served several years on duty in Germany. Upon his discharge from the military he returned to the Erie area and worked for Warren Radio and also Executone. Most recently he had been self employed operating the company "Internal Communications" in West Springfield. He attended the West Springfield United Methodist Church and loved rock and roll music and movies. He is survived by his wife, Debra L. Sakuta Pounds, whom he married July 4, 2005 in West Springfield; also by a daughter, Sandra D. Erven and her husband, Craig, of McKean; a son, Kevin L. Pounds and his fiance', Emily Huston, of Youngstown, Ohio; a step-son, Raymond Brown of Girard; and four grandchildren, Aiden and Landin Erven, Kaleb Millington, and Cadence Pounds. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev.
