Peggy L. Brandon, age 58, of Millcreek, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Erie on August 8, 1953, a daughter of the late Vernie "Buzz" and Frances "Rosie" (Spillers) Brandon. She was a 1971 graduate of McDowell High School. Peggy worked in production control at Spectrum. She was a good high school athlete in the days before Title IX. She played fastpitch softball with the Presque Isle Lancers, winning two state championships, on teams coached by her dad. She had great times with her friends on the Presque Isle Lancers and the Greengarden Tavern softball teams. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and being around family and friends. Peggy was a member of the Fairview American Legion. She is survived by two brothers, Dan Brandon and Steve Brandon, both of Erie; a sister, Patty Tomczak, husband, Alan, of Union City; nieces and nephews, Amy Francis, husband, Craig, Jesse Tomczak, Carla Rauch, husband, Sean, and Taylor Brandon; great-niece and nephews, Carter Francis, Julien Francis, and Taylor Nordin. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, thirty-nine living cousins, numerous close friends, and her pet cat, Little Kitty. Friends are invited to call on Sunday from noon until the time of a service at 4 p.m. with Rev. Harry Johns at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard.
