Carol Stuck Hosu age 70, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Erie on March 3, 1942 the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Fredricka Anderson Carlson. She graduated from McKean High School and went on to work as a Legal Secretary for over 30 years with the Plate, Shapira, Hutzleman, Berlin and May Law Firm. Carol especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an avid golfer who also enjoyed traveling, especially to her favorite spot Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina. Carol was a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her children; Dennis Stuck and his wife Donalee, Denise Stuck-Lewis, and David Stuck and his wife Nicolle; seven grandchildren: Rachel, Alyse and Nathan Stuck, Craig and Kelly Lewis and Allisyn and Madilyn Stuck. She is further survived by her dear friends Linda Weible who provided loving care and comfort during Carol's illness and Al Sontag. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Brian Kelly of McLane Church officiating.
