"Beloved" Anniebell Jenkins of Erie, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 21, 1915 in Mobile, Ala., but spent most of her life in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Bill Ross and Willie Bell Pernell-Ross. Anniebell was a jack of all trades. She was a homemaker as well as a Sunday school teacher. She loved the Lord her whole life and taught her children and grandchildren about the goodness of God. She was known for her fried chicken and fluffy biscuits. She also was a hairdresser that enjoyed doing her daughters and the neighborhood girls hair. She was a seamstress who made all her grandchildren a butterfly two-piece outfit. Anniebell took care of her husband until his death in 1995. She not only raised her own nine children, but helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Anniebell was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jenkins, all of her siblings: John, Tom, Nathan, Steve, Harriette, Alberta, Willie Lee, and Tempie; two daughters, JoAnn Pittman- Davis and Marie Jenkins-Cheatham; sisters in law: Ruth and Rosalee, her granddaughter Ashlee Alberta Harris, and grandsons; Robert James (Bobby) Pittman and Tony (Chico) Jenkins along with her brother in law, Tommy Brown. She is survived by her children; Robert Jenkins, Cathy Bell Jenkins, William (W) Jenkins, Ronald (Geno) Jenkins Sr., Leon (Talford) Jenkins and Ralph Jenkins all of Cleveland, Ohio and Gennett Parks-Harris of Erie, her sisters in law, Dean Ross and Velma Ross of Prichard, Ala. and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends may visit at Gaines Funeral Home, 9116 Union Ave, Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend the wake at 10:30 a.m with the service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Word Church 18909 South Miles Road, Warrensville Hts., OH 44128.
