Shirley Gorzynski Hoover, age 77, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born in Erie on February 8, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Jenny Sedziak Gorzynski. Shirley graduated from Villa Maria High School in 1954. She worked at Eat' n Park for many years. Shirley was known as a very loyal Tiger Woods fan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nine brothers: Anthony, Robert, John, Richard, Ronald, James, Kenneth, David, and Frank and a sister Kathleen Gorzynski. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, LeRoy A. Hoover of Erie; her children, Sandra Whitworth and her husband Russell of England, Jeffrey Hoover and his wife Kim of Girard, Pa. and Tina Folga and her husband John of Fairview, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Shannon, Chelsea, Stewart, Carlene, Lewis, Shelby, Jamie, and Jordan; a sister, Jean Crozier and many nieces and nephews.
