Linda B. Copeland, age 64, of Erie, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at home. Born in Erie, Pa. on January 15, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude Nichols Copeland and Samuel Copeland, Sr. Linda graduated from East High School and worked at Erie Insurance Exchange for over 39 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She also enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, attending dinners and movies with friends, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Elsie and Oscar James, two nephews, Greg and Michael Copeland and a niece Latifah Lockett. Survivors include six siblings: LaVerne Ponder, of Dallas, Texas, Samuel Copeland, of Erie, Bishop Lawrence (Pamela) Copeland, of Durham, North Carolina, Carmelita (Billy) White, of Erie, Elsie Copeland, of Erie, and Alan (Monique) Copeland, of Los Angeles, California. She is further survived by 12 nieces, 9 nephews,17 great-nieces, and 15 great-nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Sunday June 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a service at the Second Baptist Church, 757 E. 26th St, on Monday June 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
