Donna Braser Damon, age 55, of Erie, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Esmond, Ill., on October 15, 1956 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Marjorie Barchard Braser. Donna was a 1974 graduate of Genoa Kingston High School and worked for many years in the accounting and customer service fields, most recently at West and Teletron in Erie, Pa. She loved old black and white movies, classic rock and roll, going to live concerts with her friends, the Chicago Cubs and the New England Patriots. One of Donna's most significant impacts was her choice to quit her job and take care of her sister Linda full time as she battled terminal breast cancer. Donna was always a loyal friend and loving sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Linda Stallman and her former husband Hugh Damon. Donna is survived by a sister Jill Lynn Braser and her husband Jeff Nelson of Apex, North Carolina. She also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins on both the Braser and Barchard sides of the family as well as friends, Tommy Koscelnik , Heather Hersh and Mollie her cat and long time companion. Services were private at the family's convenience. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, PA, 16502 was in charge of arrangements. Memorial service and burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church and Cemetery in Hinckley, IL. Memorials may be made to the , 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
