Jane Ann Yuhas, age 68, born September 21, 1943 in Erie, Pa., passed away at her home with her family at her side after a sudden illness which took her from us much too soon. Married 51 years, she was the beloved wife of David G. Yuhas Sr., and was adored by their seven children, Susan (Philip)Layher of Algonquin, IL, Mary Yuhas, David Yuhas Jr., Christine Yuhas. all of Girard, Pa., Kathleen (James) Cipalla of Albion, Pa., James (Melissa) Yuhas of Girard, Pa., and Richard (Kerri) Yuhas of Erie, Pa. Sister to Joyce (Donald) Lambert of Athens Ohio, Patricia Olszewski of Girard, Pa., and Jeffrey (Diane) Thurston of Erie, Pa., and Aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen DeArment -Thurston, and a brother-in-law, Michael Olszewski. An Immensely loyal and caring person, Jane had a beautiful smile and a kind hello for everyone she met. She had a zest for life, loved to travel with her husband, and recently enjoyed a trip to Maui. She loved to spoil her grandchildren, Joseph Yuhas, Cody Cipalla, Megan and Matthew Harned, Blake and Evan Layher, Joshua and Logan Yuhas, Cheyenne Fogle, Jack and Sam Yuhas. Retired from Spectrum Control in 2004, you could always find Jane in her kitchen, cooking, baking, or canning vegetables from the garden. She had a beautiful home that she and her husband constantly cared for with love. She always made everything special, and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, Girard and will be private. As per Jane Ann's wishes, no calling hours will be observed.
