Luella May Eddy Strine, age 85, of Ripley, N.Y. died Monday June 25, 2012. She was born in Ripley, N.Y. on May 11, 1927 to the late Everett D. and Geneva GL Graham Eddy. Luella graduated from Ripley Central High School. She worked at the Pentagon during WWII (1945-1946) with her twin sister and also her future sister-in-law Carrie Eddy, formerly worked at Welch's and owned and operated the "A&L Drive Inn" custard stand in Westfield, N.Y. Luella was a member of North East Praise Cathedral Church of God. She enjoyed baking pies, decorating cakes, camping, roses and her dog Susie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Everett L. Eddy; twin sister, Helen Louise Strine; sister, Doris Eddy Earl. Luella is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur E. Strine Sr., whom she married July 3, 1948 at Stateline United Methodist Church where they had a double twin wedding with his and her twins; sons, Arthur Strine Jr. (Wendy), Ed Strine, and Marty Strine (Patty) all of Ripley; daughters, Janice (Jan) Graham (Larry) of Edinboro and Judy Baum (Donald) of Ripley; sister-in-law, Carrie Eddy of Ripley; brother-in-law, Carol Strine (Sue) of York, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake St., North East on Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services at the Praise Cathedral Church of God, 5335 Route 89, North East, PA 16428 on Saturday at 11 a.m. Officiating William Rutledge. Private interment Quincy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral Church of God, Ripley Hose Company, 11 South State Street, Ripley, NY 14775 or Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501.
