Susan Salina Bergstrom, age 94, passed away at her son's home in Windermere, Fla. on Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was born June 15, 1918 in Transfer, Mercer County, Pa., daughter of the late Wade H. and Susan Ferguson Frampton. Salina moved to Erie in 1936 and went to Erie Business School. She lived for 60 years at her home on Bird Drive in Wesleyville until moving to Florida. Salina was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, The Keenagers, and The Church Drama Group, as well as teaching Sunday School for many years. She was known for playing the piano and memorizing scripture. Salina was a member of the Board for "A Visit With The Joneses, Inc." She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan DeLora Bergstrom in 1953 and by her husband of 53 years, Charles "Charlie" in 1994. Salina died on her 71st Wedding Anniversary! She was also preceded in death by her only brother, Wade, and his wife Dorothy Frampton. Salina is survived by three sons, Robert (Leah) of Windermere, Fla., Richard (Suzanne) of Carmel, Ind. and Jonathan (Stephanie) of Breckenridge, Colo. She also was blessed with nine grandchildren, Heather (Mark), Wesley (Jody), Shawn (Alison), Tim, Laura, Sabrina (Robert), Beth, Tim and Rachel. She took great delight in interacting with her 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Gabriella and Maya Mitchell, and Gunnar, Cassidy, Troy, Mariska, Max, Dominic and Briana Bergstrom. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Harold Bergstrom (Violet); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Service of Celebration at Wesley United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
