Marian Terwilliger Obituary
Marian Terwilliger, age 81, of Meadville, passed away at the Wesbury United Methodist Community on Sunday, July 1, 2012. She was born December 18, 1930 in West Orange, N.J., the daughter of Lester and Edna Mae (Logue) Van Winkle. She married Ronald Terwilliger February 28, 1954. Marian earned a Masters degree as a reading specialist, and an undergraduate degree in Spanish. She was a homemaker and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Meadville. An avid Environmentalist, and an active volunteer in many Humanitarian, and environmental charities. She took many volunteer trips to South Central America as an interpreter for eye clinics. She was an avid gardener and lived everything to do with the outdoors; including hiking, bicycling, and bird watching. She was a member of the faculty wives of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Ann Dahl and her husband Ronald of Erie, and Wendy Jean Terwilliger of Fisher, Pa.; two sons, Mark Ronald Terwilliger and his wife Phyllis of Homesdale, Pa., and Robert Alan Terwilliger of Pittsburgh, Pa.; nine grandchildren, John Wazniak, Jay and Ian Dahl, Nathan, Michael, Daniel, Paul, Jasmine, and Zoe Terwilliger; two half-sisters, Judy and Nancy; one brother Alan Van Winkle of Niles, Ohio; one great-grandchild, Koah Wazniak; and several nieces and nephews Preceded in death by her parents and husband A Memorial Service will be held at the Terwilliger Family Farm in Fisher, Pa., Saturday, July 7, 2012.
