Maria Aniela Chorazy, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died at the age of 94 on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Poland on January 25, 1918 to the late Jason and Anna Hryckowian. She survived the Nazi concentration camp in Poland and the forced labor camp in Germany. She loved sewing, crafting, and gardening. In the 1980's she immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pa. and became a US citizen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanislaw Lubas, killed during World War II in 1945 and her second husband, Jan Chorazy, who died in 2010, and her two sisters; Katherine Petula and Rose Fir and six brothers, Andrey, Michael, Walter, Slavomir, Joseph, and Mitro Hryckowian. She is survived by son, Kazimierz Lubas his wife, Ela, and daughter, Gosia, with her husband, Martin and their son, Timon, son, Zdzislaw Chorazy, his wife, Katherine, and daughters; Christina and Jacqueline, her daughter Halina Wilczanski, her husband, Peter, and their sons; James, Robert and Michael. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday for prayers at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
