Thomas Wuenschel, 65, of Richmond, died on Monday, July 2, 2012 at his home of pancreatic cancer. He was born in Erie, Pa. the son of the late Norbert and Gertrude (Heid) Wuenschel. Tom graduated from St. John's Elementary and Cathedral Prep Schools in Erie, and obtained Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He was a Design Engineer with General Electric Company, which later became General Dynamics, for 33 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for 45 years and was a licensed Professional Engineer. He is survived by his wife Faith of Richmond; a sister and her husband Mary Ann and Lawrence Schroeck of Erie, Pa., a brother David Wuenschel of Plano, Texas, and a sister and her husband Margaret and Kenneth Wiles of Pittsfield, Mass. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Richmond. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington.
