Alan G. Bickel, 76, of Sun City, Ariz. passed away on July 10, 2012. Alan lived in Girard, Pa. from 1965 to 2010, taught Industrial Arts at Rice Ave. H.S. for 8 yrs., received two M.S. degrees in 1972 and 1974, worked at the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit from 1974 to 1991, and worked on his doctorate at Florida State University. Alan was a member of Lake Erie Lodge #347 F&AM, the Zem Zem Shrine Temple, and Girard First Presbyterian Church. Alan is survived by his wife Gail; two daughters, Dianna (Mike) Torta and Denise Adams; one grand-daughter, Abigail; and many friends. Donations can be made in Alan's name to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, ccfa.org. Visitation will be held at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Homes, Parker, Pa.
