William H. "Pappy" King, 70, of Edinboro, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home. He was born June 7, 1942. Son of the late Charlie and Pearl Kitzmiller King. Bill married Vicki Beldham on October 22 1962 and they were married for 30 years. Bill spent his life driving truck over the road and met many friends along the way. He never left you not knowing what he thought. He was a marine true to the core and an avid Steelers Fan. He was also a member of the American Legion of Girard. He spent his later years residing in Edinboro with his family and visiting Florida in the colder months. He received great joy from watching his grandchildren in their school and sporting events. He will be very much missed on the sidelines. Survivors include his two sons, Roy King and his wife Linda of Edinboro; and Scott King and his wife Lisa King of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Paige King of Pittsburgh, Lynzi King and Roy (RJ), King, Jr. of Edinboro; his sister Charlotte Thomas and her husband Robert of McHenry, Md., and their children, Tammy, Rick and Connie. Roy and Scott considered him one of their best friends and shared countless moments together. He will be truly missed. No calling hours will be observed as per his wishes. The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, has been entrusted with the care of funeral arrangements. Family suggests memorials may be made to your local youth sports program in his name.
