Edward J. Madara, age 62, of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born in Erie on March 15, 1950, son of the late Jack and Stella Madara. Ed enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery and bingo, and volunteered as a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army. He was an unselfish and caring person. Ed is survived by two sisters, Frances Britton and Cathy Burkett; one brother, Arthur Madara; five nieces and three nephews. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road. Private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
