John A. Krauchen, age 71, passed away Monday morning July 30, 2012 at his residence in Lawrence Park. He was born in Erie on October 21, 1940 son of the late John J. and Mildred McGraw Krauchen. He is survived by six sisters: Barbara (William) Thompson of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; Judy DeLeo Holland of Erie; Patricia (Angelo) Mezzacapo of North East; Mildred (Leon) Fenno of Union City, Pa; Susan Krauchen of Erie and Mary (David) Deck of Wattsburg, Pa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. John was employed by Marx Toy Works and also by the Recycling Center. He especially enjoyed watching college football on TV and keeping up on all sports activities. He was of immense help in caring for his elderly mother during her later years. He will be dearly missed by all. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at St. Hedwig Church. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements being handled by G. R. Bailey Funeral Home, 4396 Iroquois Avenue.
