Thomas P. "Tom" Skrok, age 67, of Harborcreek Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. He was born March 25, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Ann Shively Skrok. Tom was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He had been employed by Welch Foods in North East for 25 years prior to his retirement on disability. Tom was the "go to" guy for anything electrical, and up until his eyes failed him, enjoyed building R/C aircraft, especially ones that had already been crashed! He was a former member of the Thermal G R/C Club, a ham radio enthusiast, and enjoyed visiting with friends at the VA. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Julie A. Skrok; three children, Joann Mayton (husband, Greg) of Philpot, Ky., Jennifer Stanton (partner, Jason Mioduszewski) of Lake City, Pa. and Paul Skrok (wife, Linda) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, William Skrok of Cleveland, Ohio and Richard Skrok of Erie; five grandchildren, Adam and Zachary Mayton, Bradley and Kyle Stanton, and Madison Mioduszewski; niece, Kimberly Perez and nephew, Chris Skrok, both of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Terry Cross and family of Herefordshire, England. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a PrayerService there on Friday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary R.C.
