David F. Meyner, 73, of Millcreek, passed away October 2, 2012 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie, Pa. on April 28, 1939, a son of the late Harry Meyner and Mary C. O'Connor Meyner. David graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 until 1963 and then went on to be employed by Gartner and Harf, Western Provision, Meiser's, K-Mart foods, Golden Dawn, Peter J. Schmitt, and retired from Valesky's of Meadville. He also worked part-time as a school bus monitor for First Student of Erie. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed home design, refinishing furniture and painting. He was a very good cook and loved motorcycles. He also enjoyed rides in the country and quiet dinners out with his wife. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Barbara J. Meyner; children; Joseph McDevitt (Judy) of Rhome, Texas; Carol (David) Lindey of Erie; Blaine Meyner (Sherri) of Erie; Lisa (Bobby) Hammond of Fruita, Colo.; Tony Meyner (Nadine) of Erie; James McDevitt (Sharon) of Erie; Harry Meyner (Tracy) of Erie; Laura Augustine of Erie; David (Veronica) Meyner of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother Daniel Meyner (Nancy) and a sister Mary Oborski (David) all of Erie. He is further survived by 17 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2801 W. 6th St. at 11 a.m. on Saturday with The Very Reverend John J.
