Michael C. Pennock Jr., age 71, of Girard, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1941, in Erie, a son of the late Michael C. and Caroline Otteni Pennock. Michael was a contractor/carpenter and owned Pennock Construction. He enjoyed working, going to auction sales and making wine. He especially liked time spent with his kids and grandkids and being at Holiday Camp Lands in Andover, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Pennock. He is survived by his "wife" of 23 years, Brenda English (Pennock); a son, Michael T. Pennock and his wife Lori of Waterford; a daughter, Chris Quevedo and her husband Ray of Henderson, Md.; three stepchildren: Aaron English and his wife Tracie, Sarah Kibbe and her husband Levi, and Ashley English and her fiancé Josh Holliday; six grandchildren: Andrew Pennock, Daniel Pennock, Casey Corcoran, Kennedy Quevedo, Ashley Chapman, Craig Chapman; five step grandchildren: Dylan Holliday, Kyleigh English, Ellason Kibbe, Reid English, Annaston Kibbe; two sisters: Charlene Gomo and her husband Anthony of Waterford, and Gail Steinbrink and her husband Richard of Mentor, Ohio; and two brothers: Donald Pennock and his wife JoAnn and Robert Pennock and his wife Sheryl, all of Waterford; a sister-in-law, Gail Pennock of Erie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Burton's All Faith Chapel. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
