Margarita Patrice Roschnow, age 45, of Erie, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Erie on November 18, 1966, the daughter of Patricia Golembiewski DeSantis. Margarita was a 1985 graduate of Tech Memorial and a 1993 graduate of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Va. While in Erie, Margarita worked at Hamot Hospital, Erie Infants Home and Dispatch Printing. She also volunteered at the Soldiers & Sailors Home. In Virginia, Margarita worked as a veterinary assistant and at the Abused Women's Center and the Head Trauma Center. Margarita was a fan of camping cooking and baking. She loved animals and was a PETA activist. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family. She believed in doing random acts of kindness and the power of a hug. She was a loving, giving person and our light in the darkness. Besides her mother, Margarita is survived by her stepfather, Michael DeSantis; son, Lyric Ester (Sara) of Dover, Del.; grandson, Evan Ester; granddaughter, Tenley Ester; brothers, Charles Golembiewski (Stephanie), Robert Golembiewski (Lisa Alberico) and Richard Golembiewski (Lisa Monschein) all of Erie; stepbrother, David DeSantis of Roankoe, Va.; stepsister, Deborah DeSantis Shaw ( Howard) of Erie; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus R.C.
