Elizabeth Ann Dodd Murphy, age 74, of Erie passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. She was born June 14, 1938 in West Virginia the daughter of the late Ray and Helen Koen Dodd. A longtime resident of Erie, Ann was employed by the former University Club and later retired from retail sales with the Target Department Store. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and crafts, but her true love was following the activities of her ten grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Murphy along with two sisters; Dorothy Morris and Tootie Bilotta. She is survived by a son, Michael Murphy of Erie along with 2 daughters; Jamie Fahey and her husband Michael of Erie and Kim Griffey and her husband Steve of Irmo, S.C. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and one great-grandson, along with many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th St., Erie, PA 16505.
