Jeanette Baxter, age 86, a resident of Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville, Pa. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Jeanette was born in Pont, Pennsylvania on April 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Claude R. and Marian B. (West) Tomlinson. Jeanette worked for many years at Grimm Industrial Products in Fairview as a Quality Control Inspector and had also worked at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Waterford as a cashier. She was a member of the West Springfield United Methodist Church and was a member of the Albion chapter of the Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Pamona State Organization of the Edinboro Grange and was the organizer of the Northwest Skyliners. She enjoyed bowling, reading, gardening, and sewing. She also had served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Besides her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Baxter, who died in 1987 and her two brothers: Raymond C. "Bud" Tomlinson and Melvin W. Tomlinson, and her step-father, Melvin Tozer and a brother-in-law, E. A. Gollmer. Jeanette is survived by two daughters: Kimberly C. Baxter of Ohio and Michelle R. Shafer of East Springfield, Pa. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth V. Gollmer of Albion, Pa; a niece, Cindy Reedy of Albion, who visited and gave Jeanette a lot of special attention, and a great nephew; Jason Finch of Oklahoma, who Jeanette thought the world of. There were many other nieces and nephews. A private grave side service was held at Hope Cemetery in Wellsburg, Pa with Pastor Dixie Welker who officiated. Arrangements were handled by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, Pa.
